The Manfrotto 425B Mega Boom is the largest boom in the Manfrotto line. Movements including pan, tilt and rotation, as well as the telescopic extension of the boom arm, are controlled by smooth-operating geared crank handles. This two-section Mega Boom has a 12' (3.6m) maximum extension. It has dual receptors -- Junior (1-1/8") and Baby (5/8").

The Manfrotto 025BS Super Boom features coaxial geared controls at the end of the boom, which provides movement of 180°. An adjustable 15 lb. weight is included for counterbalance. The boom supports loads of up to 15 lbs (6.8kg) fully extended.
The included 008BU two-stage stand has black painted aluminum construction and wheels. The stand itself supports light fixture loads up to 66 lbs (30kg).

The Midi Vator III from Matthews is a heavy duty cranking light stand designed to support large lighting fixtures. The all-metal construction allows for a maximum load capacity of 200 lb, which can be lifted to a height of 6.7' and lowered to 3.4' while retaining stability. For transport and storage, the stand folds to 4' in length and weighs 104 lb.
The lift function of the stand is controlled by a primary crank which utilizes a rack-and-pinion configuration to reduce the moving components in the drive train. This design requires only two moving parts, which ensures minimal wear and tear and a longer mechanical lifespan with less required maintenance.
