Kentucky Entertainment Incentive (KEI) Program

Highlights of the KEI Program

The KEI Program offers 30%-35% refundable and non-transferable tax credits to approved companies
-
Incentives are negotiated by the Cabinet for Economic Development and must be approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA)

The total annual incentive cap for the KEI Program is $75,000,000
Qualifying for the Entertainment Incentive

Feature-length Film, TV Program, or Industrial Film:

Kentucky-Based Company: $125,000
-
Out-of-State Company: $250,000

Documentary:
-
Kentucky-Based Company: $10,000
-
Out-of-State Company: $20,000

National touring Broadway show: $20,000 for both Kentucky-Based and Out-of-State Companies.
